** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: acpi-support

My Thinkpad X31 fails to enter suspend or hibernate when my PCMCIA
- wireless card is inserted. If I rmmod the rt2500pci module, suspend and
- hibernate both work perfectly. If I add this to my ACPI config:
+ wireless card is inserted. If I rmmod the rt2500pci module,
+ suspend/hibernate just returns to the unlock screen after an attempt to
+ enter sleep/hibernate. If I add this to my ACPI config:

  SUSPEND_MODULES="rt2500pci"

...I can suspend and hibernate, but there is often a problem
reconnecting to the wireless network afterwards, and the CPU runs at
- 100% while this is happening. I have to reload the rt2500pci module and
- log out and in again before I can reconnect.
+ 100% while this is happening (I believe this is NetworkManager). I have
+ to reload the rt2500pci module and log out and in again before I can
+ reconnect.
+
+ Restarting networking and NetworkManager doesn't seem to work - they
+ fail to stop. I often have to reboot to resolve this
+
+ If I physically remove the wireless card before sleep/hibernate and re-
+ insert after resuming, it reconnects and works fine.

This seems similar to bug 23092, although the suspend never happens in
the first place on these rt2500pci cards.

I'm using Intrepid, Linux version 2.6.27-7-generic.
