Public bug reported: I recently upgraded to 8.10 and now I am faced with a black screen on boot (I still hear the Ubuntu Drums). I can access the vty terminals and login etc so I know the machine hasn't crashed.
I assume this is something to do with the fact my xorg.conf is now pretty sparse. The hardware I am running is: D945GCLF - Atom Board with on board Graphics TH-42PZ80B - Panasonic Plasma TV I can confirm that I had no problems with this setup before I upgraded to 8.10 Please let me know of any files that would be helpful. I can also attach a list of modes supported by the TV if this would be any help. Also is there anyway I can rollback X to get a picture in the meantime? ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- X won't start in 8.10 - D945GCLF & Panasonic TV https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293041 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
