I have a similar problem. I have only tried Kubuntu edgy AMD64 (desktop CD) - the keyboard works fine on the initial setup screen, but after that it does not respond at all - even pressing num/caps/scroll lock doesn't change the lights on the keyboard. If I switch to a terminal from KDE the keyboard also does not work.
I have not tried continuing installation after the desktop loads, and don't know how to get a dmesg output without a keyboard! Mouse works fine. Hardware: MSI 975X Platinum PowerUp Edition (Intel 975X chipset) Core 2 Duo E6300 1GB RAM GF 7600 GT PS/2 MS Natural keyboard (UK layout) USB mouse The keyboard works fine in Windows on the same system and I've used it previously in Dapper on another PC. I have tried changing the "USB keyboard support" option in the BIOS (despite being a PS/2 keyboard anyway) but it makes no difference. When I get home I'll try the mouse with a PS/2 adaptor, and possibly disabling USB alltogether. I have no USB keyboard to try :( ** Summary changed: - No keyboard + Keyboard not responding (edgy) ** Tags added: 6.10 975x edgy ht keyboard kubuntu ubuntu xubuntu -- Keyboard not responding (edgy) https://launchpad.net/bugs/70961 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
