I have just updated my system to Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid 32 bit from Hardy
on my laptop with an Intel 3945 wireless card.

With Hardy when I switch off the wireless card and then switch on,
Network Manager recognized the wireless again.

Now with Ubuntu Intrepid is no more so. If I switch off and on the wireless
card, Network Manager display always "Wireless disabled". The option to enable
wireless is grayed and not selectable.
I'm not able to connect to wireless unless I restart the laptop (with wireless
card switched on of course), or I restart network manager itself.
