Resolved the issue by. 1) Boot in safe mode 2) Uninstalling EnvyNG 3) Uninstalling any (remaining) nvidia drivers (ie. if you downloaded and manually installed the drivers provided by nvidia) 4) Install EnvyNG
Now works as expected.
