Hello. I saw a suggestion on another forum. It states remove the file /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks/thermal, I moved mine to my documents folder using Konqueror as root for safekeeping. It appears the script re-loads the thermal module after hibernating and this confuses the BIOS and the fan stops working. I had to set the suspend method as kernel in pm-utils/defaults. I suspended to disk, waited a few minutes, and upon reboot fan was working again. I don't know what, if any, effects are from removing the thermal script from initramfs-tools but I'll keep an eye on it. Hope this helps. Regards, Ray
