Marking this as duplicate of bug 293237:
in Intrepid, you should install virtualbox-ose-source, which automatically
builds the correct module on kernel upgrades.
"sudo apt-get install virtualbox-ose-source" should fix it for you (in
Intrepid). If you experience this problem on Hardy, it's a different
bug.
