Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: apt-cacher
I have apt downloading through apt-cacher. Specifically, I have changed
sources.list, but apt.conf in order to use the apt-cacher proxy.
If I interrupt apt-get or aptitude, apt-cacher keeps downloading. I
think that apt-cacher should detect that its mother process has died and
die too.
Besides that, in the case apt-get or aptitude is interrupted, I cannot
restart apt-cacher:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/apt-cacher restart
[sudo] password for user:
Restarting Apt-Cacher: apt-cacherUnable to bind socket (port 3142), trying
again in 5 seconds.
Unable to bind socket (port 3142), trying again in 5 seconds.
In this case the only way to restart apt-cacher is killing it.
