I have the same problem on two computers which worked before the upgrade to Intrepid 8.10: * Dovecot server version 1.0.rc15 * server listening on port 993 IMAP over SSL * server not listening on port 143 plain IMAP * CRAM-MD5 password security * in Evolution "Use Secure Connection" set to "SSL encryption" Since the upgrade to Intrepid it doesn't work anymore. In Wireshark I see that upon program startup an IMAPs connection is made, but at some point also an imap connection is setup (which fails, of course). Then I see no imaps messages anymore and only attempts to connect to imap. Couldn't get SSL decryption with Wireshark to work yet. I can use openssl s_client and thunderbird to read my email correctly.
