Okay, switching to EXA acceleration by default for -ati is something I'm
considering for Jaunty, if it doesn't incur too many regressions.  Does
setting EXA *not* fix the performance issue for anyone?

(If you spot additional issues when testing EXA, please report them as
separate bugs from this one, and include "[EXA enabled]" in the subject
line.)
