Public bug reported: I have an Acer Aspire One laptop (running Xubuntu 8.10) and an Acer Power 5 desktop (running Ubuntu 8.10).
On the laptop, I like to remote login to the desktop with the "Secure Remote Session" offered in my Xubuntu laptop. This works great except the keys are messed up! j get turned into '1' k gets turned into '2' l gets turned into '3' http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2008/06/acer-aspire-one- keyboard.jpg It's as if the Function key has been held down. But a bit of testing shows that this is not the case, as some function buttons (like 'Home' only register when Fn + Pg Up). The keyboard works fine in a local Xubuntu session. And on my remote machine it also uses a EN-US layout. Thank you, Eric. I can revert this by holding down the laptops 'Fn' key.
