I've assigned it as best as I could guess. Please try to find the correct packages for any future bugs you report (see also https://wiki.edubuntu.org/Bugs/FindRightPackage). Thank you for your time! ** Changed in: grub (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => grub -- By installing ubuntu 8.10 the partitiontable shows hda as sdb and so grub is starting no Windows Xp https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293648 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. Status in “grub” source package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Windows Xp do not boot. By installing ubuntu 8.10 the partitiontable shows hda as sdb and sett the ubuntu partition at first. But my first harddisk is Windows Xp (IDE). Windows Xp do not boot. So I killed the ubuntu 8.10 installation and installing ubuntu 8.04.1 with no problems, partiontable show at first the IDE harddisk (HDA) and at second the SATA harddisk (SDA). ________________________________________________________________________ AOL eMail auf Ihrem Handy!
