ok, the problem is still there, with edgy package and all the package on feisty 
until now: mysql-server-5.0_5.0.27-1_amd64.deb
It looks like a compilation problem. 
Hint: I'm running it on a Pentium4 D
Still no way to use mysql on this machine, it's kind like a BIG problem for a 
server.
The problem is in the innodb backend, mysql is able to write/create the 
database but unable to reload it from the file, it always segfaults.
