Hi snik, sorry, I didn't notice that your problem is the same, I never looked for the screensavers.
I can completely confirm your bug #72672 and read also ttp://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=303894 For me there is a small difference: a) First of all, my screensaver options were set to "zufällig" (random?), so it took a while until "Molekules" was picked at random b) When I scrolled through the screensavers (to repeat your experiences), the first time I came to "Molekül" it worked for some seconds in the preview window, but after the next click didn't any more c) rebooting system and opening the screensaver didn't hang my system immediately, every time I found the setting for the selecte screensaver on "Kräuseln", 6 steps above "Moleküle", even if the last moment - just when the system hung - the selection was on Moleküle, and since this screensaver (Kräuseln) works the system didn't hang as long as I didn't click on Moleküle again. d) ctrl-alt-backspace doesn't work at all in this situation. e) system is not completely frozen, mouse still works. But now another question: Did you ever succeed to show grafics on BOINC manager task-tap? (see https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/boinc/+bug/68854 ) In my installation it is permanently deactivated. Funny enough that the screensaver with just those molekules worked (once for a moment) Gruß, Gerhard -- System stops https://launchpad.net/bugs/72942 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
