Now I am sure the "bug" depends on this computer:
Intel: P4, 2.4 GHz, mainboard: Microstar MS-6704, memory: 1,5 MB,
Graphic-card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 512MB, AGP, DirectX 10.0.
Totems video/film-player with Ubunu 8.10 is working OK on my very old P2
computer, but not on the above.
Extra Ubuntu-plugins from ATI is downloaded to the P4.
I have also downloaded all needed extra gstream-plugins to both computers,
but the result is the same: Videostreaming is OK on the oldest P2 but
flickering and lower quality videostreaming on the P4 when opening for
instans: www.kongsberg-skisenter.no/video/?uid=16&CID=16
(Direktsendning/Levende Kamera)
But if starting fullscreenvideo with: Trykk her for å få opp video i eget
vidue. ( see under the original small frame) no flickering appears unless
you tuch the mouse.
The quality of the video is not so high as in different Microsoftdepending
softwares.
If the Totem filmplayer opens up some webradiostationmusic, the
fractalframepicture flickers the same with the P4 as described above.
The present Ubuntu-functionality on my computers will do. Please, instead,
concentrate your debuggingefforts on the mainstreamcomputers of today.

3. Streaming videoclips on internet like in Windows Media Player
4. In thumbnailvideoframeformat: jerkings/glitches throughout the whole
clipsequences,
in fullsizeformat: better streaming there but still jerkings/glitches
with full dark frames.
Another example: Go to www.kongsberg-skisenter.no and then
"Bakkeoversikt" ( www.kongsberg-skisenter,no/slopes.asp?uid=88&CID=88 )
Now try to look on the Helikoptervideos: "Experten" or "Ormen Lange".
Just black frames.
Possible to fix?
