@mnemo: It's not the same bug as #63477, that one has been fixed already. Debian and Ubuntu package both are at 0.61.08 - but as genete mentioned in #293414 this bug has been fixed in 0.61.09 which is avaible from http://synfig.org/Download
I can confirm that after manually compiling ETL-0.04.12, synfig-0.61.09, and synfigstudio-0.61.09 the program starts without segmentation fault.
