Ubuntu 8.10 still does not detect itself the floppy drive!

It is not a beta nor a candidate release anymore. Which it's still more
odd as this OS is intended to be installed in older computers, also, in
most all computers indeed.

It's a bit confusing, because although we of course always do love the
newer features, the bug fixes and that it is now more stable, but with
the new Ubuntu features and bug fixes... Sometimes also come with
unexpected (basic?) new bugs.

Otherwise, the workaround indeed works... Thanks for the advice.

Gfloppy still does not work, anyway.
