Hopefully to qualify, I'm using my laptop's built-in mouse pad and buttons; left clicking does open the Connection Properties window. Screenshot attached.
Using the right hand button opens a menu; Properties, Help, About; Remove from panel, Move, Lock to panel. If there are no further questions i'll rebuild my laptop on saturday - to fix the issue. Hope this has given you guys enough information.
