Hi there, on my new HP 6530b I have a small problem with the sound: The
integreated speakers do not work. When I plug in headphones everything
is fine, sound works. I really think that I have aktivated and maximized
all options in gnome's volume manager and alsamixer. I hope somebody has
an idea...
I use Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex because it's neccessary for my wlan. Here is

+ Press Alt+F2
+ Write: gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/options
+ Enter password
+ Add this line in the end of the document
+
+ options snd-hda-intel model=laptop enable=1 index=0
