The problem still exist on 8.10
To reproduce:
Open Login Window Preferences in System->Administration
Choose tab Security and press Configure X Server
Press on Add/Modify and choose server to be Chooser and press OK
Restart gdm, and login on standard gdm-session
When switching user with FUSA the chooser is displayed instead of the
new gdm login.
