Hi Chris I installed your patched hal-info and rebooted the pc. When I press the funktionkey the applet/picture popup and the statusbar is changing, but without taken effect on changing backlight. After I pressed the funktionkey the keyboard shows no reaktion for a while, accept changing the status of the popup.
