Also affects me on 32-bit Intrepid.
8.5 is available in the repos for me and I've installed it, but no luck.
I also tried creating symbolic links to the "missing" file, but it
seemed to just look elsewhere:
version conflict for package "Tcl": have 8.4, need 8.5
couldn't open "/usr/local/lib/tcltk/tclIndex": no such file or directory
while executing
"open [file join $dir tclIndex]"
