I don't have that problem. Here is what I'm doing: > I open the attachment of a mail (.odt file) with openoffice-writer. > I'm not able to edit the document 'cause it is opened read-only > I click the edit icon and confirm to create a copy to work with > I add some text and click the [x] in the upper right corner > I got asked to save the file and save it > I can open it from where I saved it and the text I added is still there
