we finally got a reply on the c-u ML from one of the Ubuntu posters. This is what was written:
" Thank you for your answer and sorry for the mistake. > I was trying some command from the command line in order to fix my > problem, and when the command didn't work (sudo chown) the help of the > command suggested your e-mail. > I now solved the problem anyway" So, in this case, the poster used a 'man chown', and contacted the c-u ML as a result. It is still too early to say if all would be like this one. I did a quick search on the French wiki and forum, but I did not see anything pointing to the c-u ML (so far). I also considered, like Ondřej, that this might be more related to french-speaking people somehow. But when I searched the ML archives, it was sort of mixed between French and English. So... I do not know, yet, if it is just a case of incorrectly using the man instructions (this has been raised). -- ubuntu directing users to coreutils mailing list for general problems https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294348 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
