Can you boot with the 'quiet' and 'splash' options removed. Would you
then be able to take a digital photo of screen which captures the
messages that get printed up until it hangs? How long do you wait after
you see the "hang"? I have seen reports of bugs where you'll eventually
be dropped down to a busybox shell and then after exiting it will boot
fine (see Bug 290153). But I'm not sure that's the case you are seeing.
