Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic

The wifi b43 driver needed a hardwer-switch. In
linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic_2.6.27-7.16_amd64.deb the acer_wmi module does not
turn the led button on, so the b43 driver can not work properly (aspect in
userspace.)
So when the user would like to turn the wifi button on he/she must to add these
commands:

rmmod b43
rmmod acer_wmi
modprobe b43
modprobe acer_wmi wireless=1

Otherwise not the linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic_2.6.27-7.16_amd64.deb has a bug
"only" just a script what has to write the "'options acer_wmi wireless=1'" into
somewhere /etc/modprobe.d/.
I don't know that the option was or wasn't before, I know just there is no
right now.

** Affects: linux (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
