1. I ran chkdupexe , from the manpage of chkdupexe

chkdupexe  will  scan the union of $PATH and a hardcoded list of
common        locations for binaries.  It will report dangling
symlinks  and  duplicately-named binaries.

That none of the binaries should have dangling symlinks which afa as
google tells me is a bug.

I got a dangling symlink. This is the only dangling symlink in my $PATH

~$ echo $PATH
/home/shirish/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games
