Public bug reported:

I am running kubuntu 8.10 which I installed by installing kubuntu-
desktop from ubuntu 8.10. My machine is a Dell XPS M1330 laptop.

The problem: The menu fonts look differently in Gtk apps than in KDE
apps, although I selected "use KDE style" and "use KDE fonts" in system
settings -> GTK styles. My ~/.gtkrc-2.0-kde4 looks:

# This file was written by KDE
# You can edit it in the KDE control center, under "GTK Styles and Fonts"

include "/usr/share/themes/Qt4/gtk-2.0/gtkrc"

style "user-font"
{
        font_name="DejaVu Sans"
}
widget_class "*" style "user-font"

gtk-theme-name="Qt4"
gtk-font-name="DejaVu Sans 9"

I included a snapshot to illustrate the problem.

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
