I just had this same crash couple of minutes after booting from a live
USB flash.  The only thing I did was change the CD from the CD-ROM and
connect a(nother) USB flash drive into the computer.  I'm also attaching
the var/crash file for compiz.real and copying the end what "dmesg" gave
me at the terminal:
