Ubuntu 8.10
when trying to use smc2835w pcmcia card with p54pci module ifconfig process
freezes and can't be stopped or killed.
also, after ifconfig process freezes, i can't run some programs (sudo freezes)
while other run with no problem (su works perfectly).
only way to stop this is a hard reset
when using prism54 module (the old module), wireless works properly
this bug might be related to Bug #152243
