Not sure if this helps... but when I boot with 2.6.25-28 and run 'sudo blkid /dev/mapper/group0-linux' (my root) I get:
/dev/mapper/group0-linux: UUID="2bab90cc-69a8-4b43-98d5-bdb9411b48b4" TYPE="ext3" ... which is the UUID listed in /etc/fstab for /. My grub stanza calls /dev/mapper/group0-linux by name, however. I guess this is just to confirm that the UUIDs for my logical volumes do line up, once the lvm groups are brought up... but the initramfs does not seem to be able to see them for whatever reason. -- 2.6.24-21 kernel update breaks mdadm raid 1 boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290231 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
