Hm, I'm not sure if this is related to this bug or not - My Z and C keys are rather hit and miss right now. I'll try and dig out my Hardy Heron live CD to make sure that it isn't unrelated. Shift-Z and Shift-C don't work at all. The rest of the standard keys seem fine.
