Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree
This afternoon, I upgraded a machine from Dapper to Edgy. The machine
had flashplugin-nonfree installed. I understand that, for licensing
reasons, the code can't be provided through apt-get in the usual way,
and that it has to be downloaded from Macromedia. But the download was
very slow indeed -- about 1.5KB/sec. It was so slow that I mistakenly
thought the Ubuntu upgrade process had hung; I almost aborted it and did
a fresh installation.

I estimate the download will have taken many tens of minutes. (I had to leave
the house, so I can't be more precise.)
Any of the following changes would help:
1) You're using wget to do the download, so let wget display progress in
the usual way to provide reassurance that something is happening.
(Currently, you use the -q switch to suppress progress reports.)
2) Advise the user to uninstall the package before the upgrade and
reinstall it afterwards.
3) Print a warning to say that the download may take up to an hour.
Let me take the opportunity to thank you for another excellent Ubuntu
release.
