Can confirm that firefox on intrepid (3.03) DOESN'T remember encoding. Tried with several sites. Sometimes works. Sometimes not. Moreover when utf8 is active, input text length is excessive. Don't know if it happens only to me, but this affects the aspect of several pages. example google.it input text
