Yes--unresolved as of this date :( The "BIOS" warning beeps come very ill-regular--sometimes they drive me mad & every once in a while things work as they should--I have retreated to "quiet splash"--at least it works every time--I still miss the text below--was very informative...If you goto ubuntuforums & look in the development forum, you will see a thread about Plymouth--I think that the general thought is that it would be much better than Usplash--we only need to wait for kernel-mode- setting(2.6.28 kernel) & in my case--nVidia to get with the program..........
