** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: gnome-panel

Using tango icon theme, or most other icon themes besides the default
Human icon theme set -> Open places menu -> bookmarked icons for
standard home folders, Documents, Music, etc, revert to Gnome defaults.
Bookmarked folders show proper icons in nautilus. Bookmarking a network
location (SMB share), shows the correct folder icon from the theme in
the places menu, though. Probably something missing in the theme, but
why does gnome-panel need a differently named folder icon than nautilus,
  etc?
+
+ edit: this is seen for me on up-to-date intrepid. I am going to build a
+ new install of intrepid in a VM to test further, since the machine I'm
+ seeing it on has been dist-upgrade'd several times.
