I guess you have SYSFS_DEPRECATED=n (or something of this spirit) in your kernel configuration ? If that is the case, the bug is known, and will not be fixed before a while. The whole problem is that basically libsysfs should not be used, but pmount was initially written using it. The switch is on my TODO-list, but that won't happen for a while (not while lenny is not out, at least).
