I know for the upcoming Jaunty development cycle a focus is going to be
made on the time it takes to boot. Hopefully you'll see even more
improvements. Regarding what appears to be a usplash issue you are now
experiencing, it would actually be better to open a new bug report.
It's helpful to the development teams if bug reports target one specific
issue. Additionally, it would be good to test the even more recent
Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release that just came out. However, for now I'm
going to go ahead and close this specific bug against Feisty. The
reason is that the 18 month support period for the Feisty Fawn 7.04
release has reached it's end of life -
