Trying git's 2.4.3 works perfect (no fonts bug).

Status:
kernel 2.6.27 + git's intel 2.4.3 (every piece required to build it is ibex's)
+ ibex latest everything = works!
kernel 2.6.27 + ibex's intel 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10 + ibex latest everything =
