Public bug reported: Binary package hint: update-manager
I was following the instructions here: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading At some point in the process, I got an error about Evolution event notifier (something about Corba unable to connect?). Later, I got an error that python-setuptools was unable to install (similar to #236798). I think I'm at the end of "Installing Upgrades" and the upgrade manager has prompted me to create this bug. After I clicked "Report Problem", it prompts me to do the same for the python-setuptools package. I think I was able to recover from the python-setuptools problem, but I'm not sure if the rest of the upgrades completed successfully. I'm going to submit this bug and return here after confirming that the upgrade completed.
