I finally discovered one bug: if driver installation lasts longer than 10 minutes, the backend times out, and the GUI crashes with "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name :1.398 was not provided by any .service files". That's a real problem, however, it's not exactly the same crash that was reported here. That might be because the crash you reported is yet another problem, or just because of the slightly braindead way I used to test this.
