Switching sources to intrepid and trying to install rapidsvn caused apt
to ask for a number of large system utilities like libc6 so I decided to
forgo it. FWIW, doing an '''apt-get source rapidsvn''' from intrepid
followed by '''debuild''' produced working deb files. So another vote
for backporting the more recent versions to Hardy and a solution for any
other hardy users that don't want to pull in dependencies from intrepid.
You will of course need debuild and other build tools but, if you don't
yet have that setup, dpkg and apt will tell you what dependencies you're
missing as you go.
