The X server just segfaulted on me - I was just moving about on the
virtual desktops and about to closeOpenOffice down; Xorg.0.log.old has

this is 64bit Intrepid with an i945; hmm since this is keyboard it's
probably worht syaing this is a laptop with an external keyboard (PS/2
Model M on a USB converter).
