hotmail blocks ubuntu users (we knew it!)

I use ubuntu but I have a hotmail account I've used for years, I tried
upgrading to windows live per the instructions but now i cant reply or send
emails using hotmail. it will not let me type text in the area we are suppose
to type. I've downloaded everything I found.
