Hello,
I was able to recover the hidden rows after I deleted the new row2 I added and
applied a new auto filter to row1 then filtered using 'All' option (column B).

Also, I could recreate this issue on another sheet. I found that applying the
filter to an empty row you get the attached message, to which I selected 'No'.
I believe this caused the problem. When I tried again, I selected 'Yes' and had
no trouble with the filter operation (row 2 didn't disappear).
After doing this, I tried to recreate the issue only find now if I apply the
filter to empty row2 I don't get the error message at all.
I haven't investigated if this is could happen to each new document, or if this
is some one time default setting in Open office spreadsheet application.

As for the the unfiltered rows, either you have to select a data range and the
apply the filter or don't have empty cells in the filtered columns.
Regards,
Mark
