Yes, it is a duplicate. You are experiencing this problem because
Pulseaudio got removed during your update due to some dependency issues
which are now resolved. You should be able to reinstall ubuntu-desktop,
which will pull in pulseaudio and fix your problem.
The underlying issue is still the same though - you can't start your
session when pulseaudio is removed
