Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Audio capture not working on the following softwares that I tried to use
to record a screencast:

- xvidcap
- recordmydesktop
- istanbul

I'm trying to record a video&audio session from my desktop. I tested it
on 2 different computers and I'm getting the same. All programs are
halting at the start of recording process.

Gnome Sound Recorder is working fine at one of computers and reproducing
the same behavior of the other softwares that I tried to use on another.

One of computers is a Acer Aspire 5100-5196 (via chipset with an turion
64 processor) and the other one is a home integrated PC using an Asus
mainboard with Intel chipset, both of them using onboard sound cards.

Mic playback is working fine on both machines, only the capture wasn't
working.

PS: Only when recording audio those programs are hanging up. In video-
only mode all of them are working fine.

** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
