from a personal mail i got from Guyindia: You're right...modules is a directory in /etc. Although I did manually change anything. It contains a plain text file named /etc/modules/udftools which contains the following text:
alias /dev/pktcdvd* pktcdvd alias block-major-97 pktcdvd so there is definately something broken in udftools, while fuse should probably show a proper error message here, the fact that udftools seems to create a dir and puts a file there seems serious. can you execute: dpkg -S /etc/modules/udftools do see which package did actually put that file there ? -- package fuse-utils 2.7.3-4ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/297434 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
