Hi, thanks for the attachments. Here is the first diagnose. From your xorg log i can see you're using your integrated intel card, but you're also having an nvidia card installed. Perhaps the fact that you have two chipset can make the X-server confused. I found this interesting line in your syslog: Nov 15 02:09:36 test-laptop gdm[7180]: WARNING: gdm_slave_xioerror_handler: Fatal X error - Restarting :0 witch simply means that your x-server crashed, but we already new that, didn't we:)
We need more information about what is causing this. Please follow the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/Debugging in order to generate a backtrace and attach your results to this bug. Thanks in advance. //magnus -- X always restarts automaticly when configuring resolution by GUI. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/296584 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
