Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I cannot rotate my 1400x1050 display. The graphical tool does not give me another option than "upside down", the command "xrandr -o left" rotates the display, but the result is garbled and slow. (see http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10505746/screenshot.png) for an example) xrandr does not give me any error when invoked from the command line. Basically the bug is the same as bug #158112 and 153668 that I filed for Gutsy. I had no problems at all under Feisty, but since Gutsy I could not use the rotation. It does not make a difference whether compiz is on or off. xserver-xorg-video-ati is 1:6.9.0+git20081003.f9826a56-0ubuntu2, my card is an ATI 7000, xorg.conf looks like this: Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" EndSection Section "Monitor" Identifier "Configured Monitor" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Monitor "Configured Monitor" Device "Configured Video Device" EndSection ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-ati (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [intrepid] Can't rotate my 1400x1050 display https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/298119 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
